2024 Logan County Tobacco and Heritage Festival

The 2024 Logan County Tobacco and Heritage Festival, themed “Blazing a Trail,” is set to bring the community together in Russellville, Kentucky, from September 28 to October 12. Hosted by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, this annual celebration offers a variety of events that honor the county’s rich heritage and traditions. From pageants to parades, and from historic tours to athletic events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during this vibrant festival.

The festivities kick off with the 225 Century Metric Bike Ride on September 28, followed by the Little Mister & Miss and Queen’s Pageant competitions later that day. The popular Historic Homes Tours will take place the following day, September 29, and will feature eight homes and four downtown churches. As the week progresses, don’t miss out on the unique Haunted Trolley Tours, the Road Rally, the Jesse James 5K, and the Golf Scramble, all designed to engage participants of all ages. Hangin’ with Heroes on October 1 and Health Fest on October 3 provide free opportunities to connect with local heroes and healthcare providers in a fun and informative setting.

Midway through the festival, Logan County’s historic Maple Grove Cemetery will be the site of captivating Cemetery Tours on October 8 and 10, where attendees can learn about the county’s storied past. Pet lovers can participate in the Pet Show & Blessing of the Animals on October 10, while seniors and those with special needs are invited to join dedicated walks on October 11, ensuring that everyone in the community has a chance to be part of the celebration.

The festival culminates on October 12 with a full day of activities starting with the Craft Show and Flea Market at 9:00am, followed by the Jesse James Bank Robbery Reenactment at 9:30am and the Grand Parade at 10:30am. The day continues with free carriage rides, a kids’ zone, live music, and karaoke, wrapping up with a grand finale performance by JD Shelburne. This final day embodies the spirit of the festival, bringing together the community in a joyful celebration of Logan County’s past, present, and future.
