Offbeat Horror presents Offbeat True Crime & Paranormal Expo is a one-day event being held January 11th at the Capitol Theater in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Offbeat Horror is the passion project of husband-and-wife team Chad and Chelsea Sheppard. It was born of the shared love they have of horror, the macabre, and everything in between. Chad and Chelsea are also the organizers of Bowling Green’s own Vette City Con, being held this year in March at the Corvette Museum for its ninth consecutive year. Offbeat True Crime and Paranormal Expo was born the same way Vette City Con was – the love the couple has for attending conventions and therefore wanting to create an event they can bring to and share with the public.
Offbeat True Crime and Paranormal Expo is unique in and of itself. Instead of presenting a singular true crime or paranormal event, as is the norm, Chad and Chelsea know the two genres go hand in hand and chose to combine the elements in a first-of-its-kind event. At this one stop shop expo, you will be able to enjoy Q&A’s with industry legends such as Karen Conti (John Wayne Gacy’s final lawyer), Rob Graves (current owner of Fox Hollow Farm), Sheryl McCollum (CSI, Director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame inductee), Alex Hawkins (grandson of serial killer Judy Buenoano), as well as paranormal titans such as Beth Allen and Bear Gaunt (curators of Octagon Hall), Dr. Kristy Sumner (Soul Sisters), Miranda Young (Ghost Biker), and Judy LaChance (Effigy Paranormal). You will also be able to come face-to-face with true crime relics such as items owned by serial killers, artwork created by them, and things recovered at their crime scenes.
There will be a paranormal hunt of the Capitol immediately following the event. The tickets are limited to 30 and will last a few hours. It will be led by expert investigators from Octagon Hall and other guests in attendance. More information on all things offbeat can be found at OffbeatHorror.com
