SoKY Ice Rink returns to downtown Bowling Green for its third season this month, brought to you by Wiesemann Orthodontics. The ice rink is 6,000 square feet of real ice surrounded by festive lights, Christmas trees and fire pits to create a true winter wonderland. All skaters are welcome, whether a beginner or seasoned veteran. For those who aren’t skaters, a platform has been constructed for better viewing opportunities. There will also be a concession stand with peppermint hot chocolate, seasonal beverages and snacks available for purchase.
The SoKY Ice Rink opens Friday, November 16, and closes January 6, 2019. Rates are $12 for adults and $10 for children (12 or younger). Skate rental is included in the price. Operating hours are Sundays 1 to 8 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays 4 to 8 p.m., Fridays, 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Extended hours are expected over school holiday breaks, between December 20 and January 1.
