Holley Performance is pleased to announce the 2019 Intergalactic Ford Festival taking place September 26-29 at Beech Bend Raceway! Teaming up with NMRA and their successful quarter-mile drag racing, Holley is bringing professional and pro-am drift demos, autocross, a dyno challenge, Aussie inspired burnout competitions, a massive Show-N-Shine and more! NMRA DRAG RACING
The NMRA World Finals are back at Beech Bend for 2019! Holley has teamed up with NMRA to increase class payouts letting racers battle for the biggest purse of the season. The fan favorite Street Outlaws class returns, featuring some of the 2000+hp racecars that have appeared on the popular television show. True Street, Modified Street, the TREMEC stick shift shootout and the ultra-competitive Coyote Stock class are all guaranteed to put on a great show!
Ididit Performance has come on board to sponsor “King of the Street,” an eliminator style heads up class featuring the winners from QA1’s True Street class from past events allowing NMRA to crown the true ultimate street car of this year!
DRIFT GAMES
Holley Ford Festival will also feature guest appearances from professional drifters Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea Denofa, both wheeling their Ford Performance Mustang RTRs to put on a great smoke show! They are continuing their successful Fun Havers Tour and will join several other Ford powered drift machines with multiple demonstrations and challenges over the three-day event.
AUTOX – 3S CHALLENGE
This year, the Holley gearheads are putting on the AutoX and 3S Challenge for those fans who would rather carve cones then send it down the ¼ mile. Competitors will be sorted into separate classes based on their run times. This gives racers even more chances to win a cash prize as well as some Optima Battery gear!
The 3S challenge creates even more competition by allowing two drivers to battle head to head to see who is the fastest at “Speed, Steering and Stopping” their Ford machines. The quickest average time between both left and right courses will be crowned the winner and receive prizes from Optima.
GRAND CHAMPION CHALLENGE
Holley will also crown a Ford Festival “Grand Champion,” the individual who is a true Ford enthusiast and obtained the highest overall score in Drag Racing, Autocross and the 3S Challenge.
Eligible to closed wheel street-legal vehicles, points are based on performance and engagement in the various activities (ex. Countryside Cruise). There will be three classes, Late Model (1990+), Vintage (Pre-89’) and Truck, and the winner of each class will receive $1,000 cash, a plaque and custom jacket which they can wear with pride!
ROAD COURSE CHALLENGE
The Road Course Challenge is another high-octane event at Ford Festival. Coinciding with Ford Fest, the SCCA Time Trials event is teaming up with Holley to allow Ford enthusiasts an opportunity to get some track time on the NCM Motorsports racetrack. Offering Test-N-Tune on Thursday for those registered for the Time Trials, NCM will provide training and extra seat time for beginners to learn the course! All you need to participate is a helmet, a well-running car and a time trails license (free-to-obtain).
DYNO CHALLENGE
Holley is also putting on a Dyno Challenge! Eligible to anyone registered for Ford Festival, awards will be given for the first, second and third highest power numbers in both Power Adder and Non-Power Adder Categories. Winners will receive certificates for Holley products! This event is first come, first serve, so it is recommended to sign up as early as possible to get your chance on the rollers.
BURNOUT CONTEST
Drawing inspiration from our Aussie friends, Holley’s Ford Festival will feature a massive burnout competition in the center of Beech Bend’s oval track. Drivers will go wild within the designated area to put on the ultimate show for spectators so they can crown a winner.
COUNTRYSIDE CRUISE
For those looking to enjoy the scenery, Holley has put together a digital scavenger hunt to allow fans to socialize and take in Kentucky’s beautiful winding back roads. Participants that find all of the items and photograph them will be entered for a chance to win $500 in Holley products!
UPR SHOW-N-SHINE
In association with the NMRA car show series, Holley is having a two-day gathering for any Ford powered vehicle to show-off the hard work their owners have put in to their ride. Awards will be given both days and registration includes admission to spectate all of the Drag Racing for the weekend! There are individual classes for various generations of Mustang, as well as full-size trucks, compacts and traditional hot-rod/street-rods.
VENDOR’S MIDWAY – SWAP MEET
Along with the racing there will be a Vendor’s Midway featuring many products from event sponsors and other vendors. This will also be a great time to pick up some parts at the swap meet!
In addition, guest appearances by YouTube sensation Cleetus McFarland and his blown Crown Vic sleeper known as “Neighbor” will be a definite can’t-miss during this event!
Be sure to bring the whole family for a day of fun and see the original BIGFOOT Monster Truck! You won’t be able to miss it! The Built Ford Tough truck that started it all will be available for photos onsite!
