Fall brings us beautiful weather to spend Saturdays enjoying the Farmer’s Market. From pumpkins to apple cider, SoKY Marketplace has your fall needs covered. You can even stop by to pick up fresh produce and meat for delicious soups and chili – just stop by the SoKY Marketplace booth to grab a recipe card and discover all of the wonderful cooking opportunities fall products can provide. The Farmer’s Market is also a great place to pick up pumpkins, gourds and mums for all your fall decorating needs.
With football season coming in full swing, why not stop by the Farmer’s Market before the big game to grab all your party and tailgating needs. Choose from a wide variety of meats from Bentley Farms, then season them up before they hit the grill with fresh rubs and BBQ sauces from BT Leigh’s. Grab some local produce from Groce Greenhouse and locally-made wine from Bluegrass Vineyard. With all these local, fresh options you’re sure to have the biggest fans at the Tailgate!
SoKY Sprouts for Kids
Kids love the Farmer’s Market, too! On October 9th, bring the kids down to learn about the Farmer’s Market, local farmers and fall crops. Participants will have the opportunity to make a fall-themed craft. The first 20 participants will also be given Sprouts Dollars to spend at the Market – they always love meeting the farmers and getting to choose their purchases. Sprouts Club starts at 10am, giving them time to enjoy the inflatables before and after their art project and tasting session.

Harvest Festival and Croptober Fest
Last but certainly not least, we’ll be celebrating everyone’s love of fall at Harvest Festival and Croptober Fest. October 18th from 8am-1pm, the Market will turn into a magical fall wonderland filled with fall crops, craft and art vendors, and fall-themed activities for the whole family. Grab an apple cider and enjoy walking around in the crisp fall air while you shop from local crafters, artists and vendors. Enjoy family-friendly Halloween movies at our Green Amphitheater or live music on the stage. We guarantee you don’t want to miss what all we have in store for this night – the Marketplace as well as downtown will be bursting with all things fall.
The fun continues that evening with our first Croptober Fest. Join us for an evening of live music, breweries, fun and feast as we celebrate the end of Harvest season with Experimental Farms. Enjoy live music from The Mornin Sons at 5pm, followed by Fat Box at 7pm.
Whether it’s the weekly shopping, your fall decorating, or an activity for the kids, the Farmer’s Market is a fun way to spend your Saturdays this fall. Stop and see us 8am-1pm every Saturday this month… we look forward to seeing you at the Market!
