These are exciting days at Eastwood Baptist Church! We have a new lead pastor, the church is reaching outside the four walls of the church into the community, and best of all, people are getting saved and baptized!
Our new lead pastor, Dr. Jeremy Rogers, his wife LouAnn, and their five kids moved to Bowling Green in July. Jeremy and LouAnn are lifelong Texans, where Jeremy most recently served as Campus Pastor of Rush Creek Church in Arlington, Texas. He is passionate about preaching the Bible and seeing God’s people grow in their faith. He said, “I desire to preach the Word of God and see God’s people grow into mature disciples who then turn and make disciples.”
Church member Don Bratcher said, “Jeremy is such a student of Scripture and his excitement in sharing the gospel is so evident when talking with him that it’s contagious! I’m excited to see the impact he is having on members of Eastwood and our community.”
Jeremy and LouAnn met at Criswell College in Dallas during their freshman year and have been married 18 years. “Outside of my salvation, LouAnn is the greatest gift the Lord has given me in this life. She loves the Lord with all her heart, feels deeply called to be my wife and the mother of our children, and loves to minister in the local church in every way available,” said Jeremy. As a family, you’re likely to see them altogether having fun at Jackson’s Orchard or practicing their lines for the next BG Onstage production at SKyPAC.
Dr. Nathan Lorick, Executive Director of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention said this, “Jeremy is a man who the hand of God is upon. The way he loves his family, leads his church and rightly divides the Word of God is commendable and contagious.”
