The Grove Outdoor Venue & Drinkery in Glasgow will make its grand return this spring on April 29th and will host a variety of live concerts and events through the end of October. This will be the venue’s third consecutive season and they have hit the ground running by starting the show announcement process with a bang with their May 26th show featuring Sam Bush Band and Hogslop String Band, which sold out in three days.
Shows consist of music from a variety of genres featuring everything from local and regional singer/songwriters and bands to Grammy Award-winning artists such as The Travelin’ McCourys, Michael Cleveland, Dom Flemons and others. The Grove was also voted “Best Live Entertainment Venue” in the Best of Barrens in 2022.
In addition to their concerts, The Grove will also host a variety of other events including farm-to-table dinners featuring Esters Farm, open community jams, as well as an exciting collaboration with The Foxfire Museum spotlighting their upcoming book release, “The Foxfire Book: Appalachian Women.” The event will include a presentation from the author Kami Ahrens, a panel of speakers and a local artisan gallery/market. Locals will be invited to submit stories or oral histories to share during the event.
“Putting on these events for our community and creating an inclusive space for everyone to enjoy is our passion and our privilege. The reception we’ve received so far has been overwhelming, as an independently-owned venue we’re so appreciative and excited to see where the year takes us. When you’ve good music, good food and good people around it’s hard to go wrong,” said marketing director and booking agent Candace Barbee.
This versatile space is also available to rent for private events such as weddings, receptions, corporate meetings and retreats, networking events, school and church events and more. For further information on booking the space for a private event, email booking@thegrove-ky.com or call 270-629-4263. The Grove is ADA accessible and welcomes people of all ages with kids 12 and under always receiving free admission.
