Mahurins to be honored for philanthropy at Hospice Lotus Awards

We are excited to announce the upcoming Lotus Awards “A Red Tie Gala,” hosted by Hospice of Southern Kentucky, on September 23rd at the Knicely Center. This event aims to celebrate the incredible programs and services offered by Hospice of Southern Kentucky and recognize the outstanding contributions of a visionary couple within the community.

This year, we are proud to honor Dixie and the late Pete Mahurin as the recipients of the Lotus Award. Their significant involvement in their careers and philanthropy has profoundly impacted Bowling Green and the surrounding areas, genuinely making them a driving force for positive change. Anyone familiar with the Mahurins can attest to their extraordinary character and dedication.

In addition to acknowledging their remarkable achievements, the Lotus Awards “A Red Tie Gala” will feature a reception at 6pm, followed by a delightful plated dinner and an engaging program. The evening will include live and silent auctions, followed by a live band and dancing. The proceeds benefit the valuable programs and services provided by Hospice of Southern Kentucky. This elegant affair offers attendees the opportunity to don red attire, should they choose, making it a memorable event not to be missed.

Various ticket options are available for purchase. Tables of eight can be reserved for $680, while half tables with four seats are offered at $340. Patron seating is available for those seeking individual seats at $125 each, and individual reserved seats can be acquired for $85.
