Trendy Me Boutique was established 15 years ago in Glasgow, Kentucky by me (Susan Simmons). When I was in my early 20’s I worked ladies’ fashion for a large department store in Nashville, Tennessee. That is where I developed a love for fashion and dreamed of one day opening my own boutique. Having two young daughters at the time, I thought it would be a wonderful experience for them to work with me and learn how to connect with the public.
During training, I’ve been told to buy 70% of merchandise that I don’t like (because everyone doesn’t like the same thing) and 30% of what I love. The problem is… “I love it all!” It is a privilege assisting customers to find just the right outfit, jewelry, and accessories for whatever the need or occasion. There is just something rewarding when the customers look at themselves in the mirror and smile because they know how good they look. I’ve always felt like every person I have helped is a friend first and a customer second.
At Trendy Me, there are many different brands, styles, colors, and sizes from bohemian to classic silhouettes. Now that the colder weather has approached, it’s time to add a few things to your wardrobe. Stop in and check out the beautiful, embroidered Ivy Jane tops and Sister Mary dresses. We have colorful fall sweaters in hot pink, green, purple, black, white and red. You may also need a new pair of wide-leg jeans or tinsel pants, and this year Trendy Me has a beautiful array of print Uncle Frank dresses in all lengths, as well as fabulous jackets for all occasions. Don’t forget to pick up a necklace set, earrings, or a bracelet to top off your outfit!
The Trendy Me Boutique Christmas Open House is always so much fun and is the perfect event to get your Christmas shopping started. I will be hosting the Open House Thursday thru Saturday, November 16th-18th from 9am to 6pm. Each day there will be a giveaway of a $100 gift certificate, so be sure to visit and join the fun!
