Here are a few tips to make your appointment run a little smoother!
Our bridal boutique operates by appointment only. You will book a 1-1/2 hour slot, during which time a consultant will help you select and try on dresses. The gowns available to try on are sample sizes ranging from 6-24 that can be clipped to show what a dress will look like in your size. Often, some of these sample items may also be for sale “off the rack” at a discounted price. Be open to trying new styles. Many times, what brides think they love aren’t what they end up loving! Once you decide on a gown, if it’s a made-to-order design, your measurements will be taken, the gown will be ordered, and you are one step closer to your big day!
Be prepared for wedding dress sizing and remember that the fit is by far more important than the size of the dress. Wedding dresses typically run 1-2 sizes smaller than street size. For example: if you normally wear a size 10 in regular clothes, your bridal size may be a 12 or even a 14. Try focusing on how the dress feels and how it complements your body.
Be mindful of what you are wearing when arriving to your appointment. Nude undergarments are helpful as well as any shapewear or special shoes you plan on wearing.
Finally, this is your day. You don’t have to bring your whole bridal party to your appointment. Sometimes, less is more, and most boutiques have a 4-6 guest limit. The more people, the more opinions, and sometimes that is more confusing than helpful.
