The Baltimore Oriole is the beautiful orange and black bird we look for in spring. The Baltimore Oriole is in our area all year, but we look for it in the Spring to bring to our Oriole feeders. Baltimore Orioles seek out fruit. Cut oranges in half and hang them to attract Orioles from trees or a feeder. An Oriole feeder also holds nectar, which is a sugar and water mixture. They also like jelly, try raspberry or apple. The nest of the Oriole is a pocket nest, which hangs from tree branches in a woodsy area. Listen for the Orioles’ distinctive chatter which is unlike any other bird in our area. Come in to the Wild Bird and Nature Store and check out our Oriole feeders and be ready to invite the Baltimore Orioles to your yard.
