Summer is slowly winding down, but Summer Nights Concerts are still going strong! August brings some awesome R&B, Motown, and Classic Rock from some very well-known bands in our region. Summer Nights Concerts have been happening on the square in Franklin, Kentucky for over 25 years. We have had the opportunity to host some phenomenal artists, and this year is no different. August will bring Tyrone Dunn & Kin-Foke to the bandstand on the 2nd and Buelers Day Off on August 9th. As always, plenty of food choices will be on College Street from 6pm to 9pm or you can come to town early and enjoy dinner at one of our downtown restaurants. Chair rentals are available for $2 so if you forget yours, no worries, we have you covered, and restrooms are always available.
The 2024 Series is presented by Franklin-Simpson Renaissance and sponsored by Simpson County Tourism, Franklin Bank & Trust, Hunt Ford, EH Harris Lumber, 92.9 WFKN, and Coldwell Banker The Advantage Realtor Group. The concerts start at 7pm and usually end around 9pm. College Street between Cedar Street and Kentucky Ave. closes at 4pm but there is still plenty of parking downtown.
“Our town truly has a lot to offer. It’s unique, beautiful, and a perfect setting for concerts and other summer events. Our concerts this summer have had record attendance even on the hottest nights, so I expect August to be no different,” said Kim Roberts, Executive Director of Franklin-Simpson Renaissance.
