Hunger is real in our community and surrounding areas… Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky wants to help

The REALTOR® Association of Southern Kentucky (RASK) is excited to announce the 1st Annual REALTORS® Hope for Hunger Bubble Run. Join us Saturday, October 19, from 7am-11am at Kereiakes Park for a thrilling charity run with music, bubbles, and more! Runners from all age groups will race to raise funds for REALTORS® Hope for Hunger. REALTORS® Hope for Hunger helps restock food pantries and feed food insecure students and their families.

Realtors Hope For Hunger Bubble Run

More than 50% of children in the city/county schools are on the free/reduced breakfast and lunch program. Several city/county schools in our area have over 90% of students on the free/reduced breakfast and lunch program.  Many of these children often receive their only meals at school.

Programs such as the “backpack” program end when school is not in session. Sadly, this means that during school breaks, a child in our community may go hungry. The food provided through REALTORS® Hope for Hunger helps to fill the gap. Most of the food we purchase is distributed by the school Family Resource Coordinators (FRCs) directly to the homes of the families who need it. REALTORS® Hope for Hungerserves Warren County Schools, Bowling Green Independent Schools, and countless others in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, and Simpson counties.

With the help of generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers, REALTORS® Hope for Hunger has donated nearly six million servings of food to local families in need over the last 13 years. Now partnering with Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, we hope the serving counts and awareness of food insecurity in our community will continue to rise.

Don’t miss out on this incredible event that gives back to the community. For more information on how to become a Bubble Run sponsor or register to in advance visit tinyurl.com/BubbleRunSponsor.
