Dressing for the holidays from Pappagallo

It’s time to celebrate the upcoming holidays. Whether you are home for the holidays, traveling near or far,  attending soirées about town… Pappagallo has you covered.

Happy Fashionable Thanksgiving from Pappagallo.

Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, faith and food. Everyone’s celebration looks different, but I think we can all agree food is a central part of our gatherings. Unlike other holidays, Thanksgiving is not about the bling. A matching cozy knit outfit or jeans and a sweater are perfect for cooking and (comfortably) enjoying the feast. A corduroy dress with knee boots or blazer and pants are other options. This is a time to wear your finest fall – neutral colors, rich orange, greens and gold reflect the season.

Festivities leading up to Christmas and New Year’s kick off right after Thanksgiving. Business-related events, gatherings with friends at home or restaurants, holiday concerts and more, all require different attire. Here are a few suggestions :

Business event – break out of your dark colors and elevate your pantsuit game – choose red. It’s a classic for the holidays, and also one of the hottest colors of the year. Go for head-to-toe red if you dare.

Casual get together with friends – step up your jean game with coated metallic wide-leg jeans. All metallics -bronze, gold, rose gold, and pewter – are on trend. Add a half-tucked sweater to complete the look.

Holiday concert – add some sparkle and shine – a beautiful sequined top in a luscious color paired with some trousers or pleated skirt will bring a festive vibe.

New Years Eve – out on the town – go for broke – sequins, satin, velvet – it’s your time to shine and have fun with fashion!

Staying in – you will still want to be festive – silk party pajamas trimmed with ostrich feathers could fit the bill.
