Many of us, as we grew up, knew what our goal was for a career. Others found it in jobs they took along the way. Ford’s Furniture’s lead interior designer, Clarissa Smith, found her calling while working as a visual merchandiser for Castner-Knott. During that time, she worked as a decorator as a sideline… a job which she found she loved. In addition to her natural talent and style in the design area, Clarissa received her formal education from David Lipscomb and Western Kentucky Universities.
Having realized her passion for home interior design and decorating, Clarissa shifted her attention to assisting people in finding ways to make their homes into their own special spaces. In initial meetings, before any design ideas are discussed, Clarissa is often asked why working with a designer is a good idea.
A professional designer can save you money and time and their guidance can even increase your home’s value if you ever decide to sell it.
Sometimes, even more challenging than working with a blank space, is taking a current space and some existing pieces and finding creative and beautiful ways to blend existing pieces with new furniture and accessories to create that “WOW FACTOR” for which you are searching. A professional designer can use their training and experience to give you that, even thinking outside the traditional to create a unique look and style just right for your personality.
Clarissa has decorated homes all over the South Central Kentucky area including homes in Fountain Trace, Covington Grove, Mount Ayr, Rivergreen, Olde Stone and many more.
Also important to know is if you do business with the great team at Ford’s Furniture for your furniture and accessory needs… Clarissa’s services are included at no charge to you. That’s how sure Ford’s is they have everything you need to make your home a truly special place. Come see the Ford’s team today… We’re here to help!
